Carlisle Woman Nabbed For Leaving Pup Tied To Pole On 90-Degree Day: Police

A 31-year-old woman left a dog with water food or water on a 90-degree Fahrenheit day, authorities say.

Middlesex Township police were called to "reports of a dog being tethered to a pole outside in the heat with no food or water for several hours" at 19 Peach Lane, on Monday, July 18, as stated in a release by the department. 

Carlisle, Pennsylvania had an average temperature of 90 degrees Fahrenheit that day, according to Accuweather

Upon arrival, the police found that Dymarie Judith Diaz-Rodriguez had  "tethered the dog to a pole for several hours without food or water," police say. 

She has been charged with Neglect of Animal and was arrested that same evening at 5:43 p.m. 

Her plea has yet to be filed, according to court records.
